Video spotlights blueberries and member Carter Farms
In pursuit of spreading the good word about the positive impact of blueberries on health and the North Carolina economy, the North Carolina Blueberry Council, Inc, worked with University of North Carolina’s public access broadcasting on creating a video simply called “Super Fruit”. The recently released video features Carter Farms owner and North Carolina Blueberry Council, Inc. President Ralph Carter Jr. The video showcases a bit of the Carter Farm’s packing operations as well as describing the science of creating a better berry.
As mentioned, the main focus is on the blueberry industry and the technology supporting growing better blueberries. There is an direct mention to using old fashioned ways to cross-breed plants to create new hybrids of blueberries.
