57th Annual Open House and Trade Show!

We are back – live and in-person! Join the North Carolina Blueberry Council and North Carolina State University for the primary educational meeting for blueberry growers in the state and region. The 57th Annual Open House and Trade Show will be held January 10-11, 2023 at the Charlie Rose Expo Center, Crown Complex, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Our 2023 educational program will include new information on organic fungicides for blueberry fruit rot and leaf diseases, updates on advanced blueberry genetics and genomics work in Dr. Ashrafi’s lab, a review of cultivar development at Castle Hayne by Jessica Spencer, and an overview of season-long weed control by Katie Jennings. Mike Mainland will present new results from many years of cultivar evaluations, a brief history of harvesting and sorting, and possible new technologies. We will also offer pesticide safety training (category V) for those who need to meet their certification requirements! In addition to the educational program, our new and returning vendors will be showcasing products to benefit your business during our Trade Show hours.
Group Hotel: If you are staying overnight to attend both days we strongly encourage you to stay at the Doubletree Fayetteville. We have reserved a block of rooms at a negotiated group rate of $128 for a Double Queen room or $133 for a King room. In order to fulfill our contract obligations and avoid paying attrition charges, we encourage attendees to book their room(s) in the block.
